casa

/ˈkɑːsə,ˈkasə,ˈkɑːzə/

(.noun)

a person's house or home.

For Casañor, casa reflects a connection to belonging, heritage and the quiet comfort of familiarity. It speaks to jewellery that feels close to the wearer, carrying warmth, identity and a sense of something deeply personal.

anõrar

/aɲoˈɾaɾ/

(.verb)

to yearn/long for

Añorar represents the emotional thread that runs through each piece, a gentle sense of longing and memory woven into the craft. Together, the name Casañor captures the idea of holding onto home through design, creating jewellery that carries feeling as much as form.

Today, Ingrid creates and curates handcrafted jewellery that honours her Mexican heritage while embracing modern fashion, simplicity and elegance. Combining natural, raw materials with traditional Indigenous techniques from Mexico, each piece brings together the beauty of ancestral craftsmanship and contemporary design. Her vision is to create jewellery that feels timeless and effortless to wear, without losing the authenticity, character and cultural roots that make it special.

Almost ten years ago, Ingrid left her hometown of Veracruz, Mexico, to begin a new chapter in London. Living far from home, she discovered that wearing jewellery rooted in authentic Mexican craftsmanship and tradition was a way to feel closer to her heritage. Each piece became a small reminder of where she came from, carrying the colours, stories and spirit of Mexico wherever life took her. It was this longing for home that inspired Casañor.
